Add furigana for Japanese (and pinyin for Chinese)
I suggest you add an option to toggle furigana on and off for japanese, and/or give the hiragana in parenthesis, once you translate a word.

Hello,
Thanks for the suggestion. For the time being I’m afraid I don’t have the resources to add features specifically for Japanese. Sorry, but hopefully in future this will be possible.

I've recently rediscovered Readlang after using it more than a year ago. Consider this a vote for pinyin support. In fact, I'll do one better: I'll instantly become a paying customer if you start adding this feature :)

Hi Woertersammlerin,
Thanks for the Rikaikun tip! I'm a little surprised that it works within Readlang - it looks great!
I've just added the "alternatives" field to the word export options - let me know if it works OK.
Regarding the furigana suggestion. I'm afraid I'm not focussing on Japanese or Chinese at the moment since I want to perfect the site for the other languages first, but if this or similar suggestions get enough votes I'll certainly take notice.

If you're really keen on using RL for Japanese, It's possible to work around it to some degree.
1. Install the browser add-on Rikaikun (Chromo) / Rikaichan (Firefox) to show you translation and kana instead. Use that for understanding the text.
2. Click only words that you want to study. You may be able to get audio from your sidebar dictionary.
3. From the sidebar dictionary, paste the kana into the "日本語 Alternatives" field
4. Both Kanji and Kana will be on the cards.Unfortunately the Alternatives field does not get exported (Steve, would it be a lot of work to add that?)
