adding an option to choose which words to turn into flashcards
I'd like to be able to. Currently, the system creates flashcards for every word or phrase that I translate, but I'd like to have more control over the creation of the flashcards.
When reading on readlang.com you can open the sidebar (the little button in the top right of the page), go to Words, and then delete the ones you don’t want to keep.
Or, after reading with the Web Reader, you could go to http://readlang.com/words and remove the ones you don’t want to keep there.
The idea is not to have to make unnecessary choices while reading so that you can focus completely on the story you’re reading.
Does this workflow suit you or would you prefer have to click an extra button while reading to save a word to your list?

Hey Steve,
The process of deleting words would be cumbersome(actually is!)
It'd be much easier if users are given an option to turn the "vocabulary recorder" (if i can call it that) on and off...so when im just translating words to get the gist of the sentence or paragraph and i dont want all of them to be on the word list, it'd easier if there was an option to have the word list not record while translating.
Ppl can turn it back on when they want to start including words in the word list....
Please think about it! I'm sure a lot of ppl would find it extremely useful...
Cheers!

Hi Steve,
Yes, by now, the list of the most frequent words is helpful but the possibility of removing the words from the learning queue or postponing for some time would give the user more flexibility.
For example, I only need very specialist words from my domains or I don't want to learn 20th word which means "mumble" from a novel. -
Hi agusbrz78,
If you are learning a language which doesn't say "beta" after it, you should rarely if ever worry about deleting uncommon words, since Readlang contains a list of the most frequent words and will prioritize the most useful ones for you when learning with the flashcards. Does this help answer your concern?

The deletion of the word removes also the translations. There are some words which are seldom used (or too scientific) and the learning of them is a simply waste of time but I would like to keep them for the translations.
