Words' Categories
Hi,
I think that Readlang is the best app I have ever bumped in.
My world list is becoming longer as the time passes so it would be very useful to give the chance of creating categories so to study it more specifically.
Moreover I didn't succeed in installing Reading in my tablet...the info's given seem to be unuseful.

Support bilingual texts for word count and CEFR level
Human translations are still more accurate than Google Translate. So I like to upload texts like https://readlang.com/library/5bbb6a4c143b89000758ad5d/from/548 , with the original text plus the human translated version.
Clearly this throws off the word count and readability index.
Could you please support some sort of markup that we can use in uploaded text files, that will ignore the specified portions of the texts?

Make it compatible with Aljazeera.net
Hi,
It seems absurd that your plugin isn't compatible with the most important Arabic newspaper online, Aljazeera. I bought a subscription to Readlang to learn Arabic exclusively, and I cannot use it with Aljazeera? Now I am forced to read BBC.com/arabic which isn't nearly as great.1 vote -

Open Source Readlang
Now that you are working for Duolingo (congrats by the way!) and have declared Readlang has been declared "feature complete", have you considered open sourcing Readlang? I understand that you don't have the time to devote to new features, but I'm sure there are developers out there in your user base (like me) who would be more than happy to contribute to the project (even if you get the money for operating the service). There's so many good feature requests on here that I'd love to see implemented, and I think open sourcing and embracing community contributions would be a…

Context flashcar
Hi,
I was wondering if you could implement a feature where during active recall the English word stays hidden, much like during passive recall. I would like to have the option to remember the target word through context. Perhaps as a premium feature?
Thanks,

Make a page with stats
It would be really neat to have a place where I can see stats on my vocabulary words: when I made a flashcard, how many times I've practiced it, how often I've gotten a word right/wrong recently, when it's due... etc. so I can get a better idea of my progress.

dark theme for readlang
The ebook reader looks great on mobile. I'd love to have a toggle button where you can put it in "dark mode", ie white text on black background.

English to English translation
Has it been implemented? i basically just want to learn new words, or keep phrases that I read. I would like to write one day, and that would be a great way to store useful words and phrases.

Sometimes I do not get a translation but the very same word. Even so you know the translation. Looks strange to me
I often get the same word as a translation as the English word, for example "kerfuffle".
But If I look up your word list and scroll down, I can find the correct translation. So I think, there must be an error somewhere.1 vote -
Custom Flashcards
As it is, I have to use Anki to make custom flashcards for the books I read, and Readland to remember my digital translations. Can we create our own custom flashcard sets so it can happen on one platform? Thanks.

add British pronounciation to the flashcards and word lists
good afteenoon,
I am learning English with your tool. Very great. Unfortunately in the flashcards mode the pronounciation is American by default and i cannot change it to British. Also the sounds on the word list are American. the only way to hear the british pronounciation is to click on every single word in the word list and click on the speaker in the WordReference window, which is time consuming in the long term.is there any chance it could be looked at please?
I really want to keep using your tool but I right pronounciation is key.
thank you…

Please fix the problem in Chrome of loading the Edit Flashcard Window
I know I can reload the page to allow "unsafe" scipts but it's annoying having to do this every time. I searched for a way to allow Readlang always to load these windows but it's looks like it has to be resolved on the website's end rather than the user's. It wasn't a problem when I first started using the site, so I'm not sure what changed, but it's definitely negatively effected my usage of the site. Thanks for reading.
4 votesI wonder if this is due to the external dictionary on the edit word panel?
Please let me know which language are you learning. And whether you have edited the default external dictionary.

The option to edit a translation direcltly when reading
and give more than one translation to choose from judging on context.
Also the translations are often not in the right verb tense or conjugated properly in the english (spanish to english)

Integrated dictionaries no longer seem to work with arabic script
The default dictionary for arabic no longer seems to work, and my attempts to add others haven't proven fruitful so far (e.g. http://www.almaany.com/en/dict/ar-en/{{query}}).
Any idea what might be wrong?
Thanks for the amazing site!

Have audio for text
It will be useful to have audio playover option for certain texts in which audio is available. It can help with retention of new words.
