Adding flashcards
Hi - I love the flashcards generated from readlang but I sometimes encounter words and phrases elsewhere and would love to manually add them to my readlang flashcards - can this be done or is it an easy update? I know I could export all my readlang flashcards to Anki and add to that but I prefer everything in one place, and readlang is where I do 80% of my reading.

Make a page with stats
It would be really neat to have a place where I can see stats on my vocabulary words: when I made a flashcard, how many times I've practiced it, how often I've gotten a word right/wrong recently, when it's due... etc. so I can get a better idea of my progress.

Thanks for making this service
I've been looking for something like this for a while. Reading in a target language is the best way to learn.

Flashcards sound
I prefer that when I review the flash cards I don't need to press the sound icon to hear the pronunciation and it happens atomatically.

A scrolling-interface alternative to the page-turning interface?
It would be great if you offered users (both on the desktop browser and on the mobile browser) the option of using a scrolling interface rather than a page-turning interface.
There are two issues that might cause some users to pursue the scrolling interface:
(1) The page-turning interface can make working with phrases at the bottom line or so quite difficult.
(2) Sometimes, the phrase someone needs translated might run from the end of one page on to the beginning of the next, which can be _very_ problematic on the page-turning interface - yet would be a non-issue in a…

Leave it be
Ive tried MANY of the popular apps. I truly feel, my learning and retention rate is better at Readlang. The options are fantastic, and help to keep it interesting. I would buy the Tshirt.......Vielen dank

Context flashcar
Hi,
I was wondering if you could implement a feature where during active recall the English word stays hidden, much like during passive recall. I would like to have the option to remember the target word through context. Perhaps as a premium feature?
Thanks,

phrases
For subscribers....let us separate phrases. (in french) If ever i click on a noun phrase that i want to save as a flash card... I can't click on the following words otherwise it attaches itself to the previous phrase.

Have an option to show the first letter of the answer for "active recall" flash cards.
I have turned off the option for active recall cards because if the clue is something like "hasty" there are many words that would work. If you answer with a word that is correct, but not the actual answer word, you can add as an alternative. However, if you answer with a word that you think is correct but is not, you may be entering an incorrect word in the "alternative word" field.
It would be great to have an option to see just the first letter of the answer word. That should be enough of a clue that I…

Review flash cards by frequency.
When reviewing flashcards, it would be great to filter them by frequency. One category could be the "1000 most frequent words" followed by a "1k-3k most frequent words" and so on.
Doing so may allow users to not be so overwhelmed by the number of flashcards. If you tell yourself, I'm going to stay on top of the 5000 most frequent words, then you can ignore the words that are less frequent and not by stressed about letting them pile up, because you are not going to see them often in your text.

Retain filter for context sentences when reviewing flashcards by text.
When I use the premium feature of reviewing just words for a particular text, it would be great if it only present context sentences from that text.
So if I am specifically reviewing words from a Harry Potter book, I would like to only see context sentences from that book. I would still like to click the arrow to see context sentences from other sources, but one of the Harry Potter sentences should show first. Thanks.

Make it easier to add images in cards.
In a similar way that the card edit screen automatically loads up an external dictionary, it would be nice to have it automatically look up the word in Google Images (maybe Giphy too). Ideally, you would be able to click on the image and add it to your card, rather than copying and pasting it. Thanks.

Fix the parsing of German quotation marks.
Some German texts use the following quotation marks: » «. Often, when parsing the context sentence, it will grab the » that is part of a quote of the next sentence. It requires a lot of time to fix these dangling quotation marks at the end of sentences. Thanks.

Fix bug where the context sentence doesn't include text from the previous page.
When using the reader in Readlang, if I click on a word in a sentence that spans two pages, the captured context sentence does not include words from the previous page. I end up having to delete these cards because an incomplete context sentence is not useful.

English to English translation
Has it been implemented? i basically just want to learn new words, or keep phrases that I read. I would like to write one day, and that would be a great way to store useful words and phrases.

Don't automatically put words in deleted folder.
Just because I had them yesterday doesn't mean I don't want to practice them today!

dark theme for readlang
The ebook reader looks great on mobile. I'd love to have a toggle button where you can put it in "dark mode", ie white text on black background.
