Support for Bulgarian?
Can you add support for Bulgarian?
2 votesSorry for the delay. Bulgarian is actually there already, look for български in the list of languages.

sort by level
I think it will be useful to be able to sort by level. Be able to pull all the A1 level resources or A2, or B1. That will make it easier to find material that is right for the level of a certain student
1 voteThere’s now a slider to filter by difficulty level on the public library. This should become more useful as the library continues to grow.

started to work
Of course it started to work for me after sent a message. Sorry!
1 voteGlad it started working. It sounds like something did go wrong so I’m the one who should be apologising! I’ll do some testing and try to make it more reliable.

What about safari on iMac desktop?
I can't see any reference to installing readlang on a desktop iMac (as opposed to an iPad). I'd really like to use readlang. Apologies if the answer is obvious and I'm being dense!
1 voteSorry for the delay, I’m catching up on emails and queries at the moment. You don’t need to install it on your iMac, just use it directly from Safari. These videos may help get you started: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIGa-eWCssj9K_PpNGLnIs8vcENanVx3_

Readlang emails need an "unsubscribe" button.
Hello Steve,
I'm actually yet to really make use of deadlang, but i'm sure it's a great tool. My problem, however, is that I have received several reminder-type emails over the past few days since registering; I don't recall any tick-box option to turn these off during registration (which I wohld have turned off, had I noticed), there is no "unsubscribe" link in the emails themselves and I can't find a way to turn off all alerts in the preferences menu.
I'm sure readlang is great, i'm sure you're a cool guy, but finding something I don't want in my…
1 voteI’ve just added unsubscribe links to all of these emails.
Note: I’ve had “reply to unsubscribe” at the end of these emails for ages, but now with a link it’s even quicker to unsubscribe.

Highlight the last read text
If you have many texts, scrolling and reading the titles in order to find the last text you were reading can become bothersome.
At the moment, I have many texts with similar titles (chapters of a book). I sometimes forget on which chapter I stopped.
It might not be high on the list of priorities, but if it's not too difficult, I'd be grateful if you implemented it. Thanks.
1 voteYou can now sort your documents to show the most recently read ones at the top.

Add option to change text alignment from "justified" to "left"
It would be a nice option (not essential, but maybe in the future)
1 voteI’ve added this option now, check the “AA” formatting options in the reader sidebar.

Renaming is possible. You need to:
1. Open the text to read
2. Click the button at the top right to open the sidebar
3. Click the “Edit” tab at the top
4. Enter a new name (you can edit the document text here too)
5. Click “Save”To delete a text, open the Library → My Texts tab and click the “Delete” button to the right of the text you wish to delete.

Add option to manually add new flashcards
Justs a simple "add" button to let us create our own flashcards by typing in a front and back
1 voteDid you realise that you can add a flashcard from the http://readlang.com/words page by typing it into the search box and clicking search? If no results are found from your personal word list it will present a button (or two) offering to add the word to your list.
I realise this isn’t obvious at the moment, I’ll work on communicating this more clearly!

paypal payment
Dear Steve
I have a paypal account but when i use your payment method and i get into paypal it asks me for card details..I use paypal to avoid putting in card details on websites if possible.Anyway the point is it does not switch me directly into my account with paypal.Maybe that is something to look into.Is your email steve@readlang.com if so then I can go directly to paypal myself and pay. Finally a few months ago I signed up for a couple of months with Fluencia and the process was with paypal and it switched me directly into my paypal…1 vote -

add a button to go to the beginning of the article
Often I want to read an article multiple times for reinforcement. When I get to the end it would be handy to have a button to take me back to the beginning so that I do not have to hit the previous page button a bunch of times.
1 voteThis exists already, although it's a bit hidden. Click the progress percentage at the bottom of the page and a popup will appear from which you can select "Go to start"

When recording words and translations, give more context
When I am reading and I click on a word or group of words, give me some more context for where the words came from. In a given sentence, I may only need to translate a couple of words, but I need the whole sentence to understand the usage, especially in a language with lots of declensions.
The alternative is that I just click on every word in a sentence if there is any word that I don't know. That would basically mean, "click on every word."

Not translating words
The program doesn't seem to be translating words as well as it used to. Using Portuguese, it translates some words some of the time and others none of the time. Highlighting single words rarely translates the word, while highlighting a phrase or sentence will usually translate some of the words but leave others in Portuguese.
1 voteCould you check at the top of the page at http://readlang.com that your current learning language is definitely set to Português?
Otherwise it may be trying to convert from a different language.

Allow for deleting many or all words in one fell swoop
Currently you can delete words one by one. If you add a document and decide to delete it, the words remain. I'd like the option of deleting several or all words easily instead of having to delete them individually - perhaps a 'select all' or highlight selection feature? Not a biggie, just a thought.
1 voteI’ve implemented this now, you can check the words and delete them all at once. To select a range of words in one go, check the first one and then hold shift and click the last in the range.
Please let me know if you have more suggestions!

add keyboard shortcuts to the flashcard review page
- just use right arrow key for show answer/next card
- use up/down arrow keys to change current 'familiarity' rating.
- display the current rating level of word for users to see
1 voteHi Oliver,
It’s not obvious I know, but there are already keyboard shortcuts for the flashcards page:
Enter – Reveal answer & next card
1 – Not at all
2 – Almost
3 – Yes, just
4 – PerfectlyI really should communicate this to users as they are learning to use the site.
I’ll have a think about adding some visual indication of your progress on each word to the flashcards. I need to think about how to do it in a way that is clear and not confusing.
I’ve been considering replacing the current four possible responses with a more simple “Yes” / “No” or “Remembered” / “Didn’t Remember”. It probably won’t affect the behaviour of algorithm that much and will be less for the student to think about.

group words to learn by text of origin
suppose you want to read a book to learn a new language, as you translate unkownn words they are added to your word list, and when you study they will come up following the SRS principles; however, other words from other texts will also come up. This is inconvenient if all you want to do is being able to understand a particular book.
Hopeful this is not too bothersome, otherwise this is a great website.1 voteThis feature is now available, see screenshot (with stupid book – names!) on this webpage:
http://www.pagef30.com/2014/04/readlang-now-available-in-estonian.html
(This feature is restricted to Readlang Supporters for the moment: http://readlang.com/account)

Replace message boxes with warning labels
Glad to see the 'over 8 words' warning is no more a message box.
It would be much convenient if "You're on the first page" and "You've reached the end" message boxes are replaced with such warning labels as well. It's both ugly and a nuisance.
Thanks!
1 voteFixed this now. Keep the suggestions coming! :-)
